The Albanian Australian Islamic Society’s (AAIS) Women’s Committee hosted its eighth AAIS Monthly Sisters Islamic Session on Wednesday 15th January 2014.
Proving to be a popular topic, this was our biggest attendance yet, with approximately 85 ladies attending this special session.
On invitation by the Victorian Liberal Party, I attended a special event on Monday 25th November 2013, which was held at the Victoria State Parliament House, together with AAIS Board member, Urim Balla, and Imam of the Albanian Australian Islamic Society’s Albanian Mosque, Dr. Bekim Hasani, to mark Albania’s Independence Day.
On Tuesday 1st October 2013, I attended a meeting on behalf of the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) with the Kosova Minister of Diaspora, Mr. Ibrahim Makolli and his delegation, who were on an official visit to Australia.
On Sunday 17 March 2013, the Committee Board of the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) organised a Prayer Workshop titled ‘Purity and Prayer in Islam’ that was presented in both Albanian and English by the Imam of the AAIS’s Albanian Mosque, Dr. Bekim Hasani.
The Committee Board of the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) organised a meeting on Sunday 3rd March 2013, which was attended by ninety-nine (99) Financial Members, to inspect the brand new premises that was selected by the AAIS Committee Board for the purpose of opening a Youth Centre and to discuss the potential purchase of the property.
On Friday 24th August 2012, the Albanian Foreign Minister, His Excellency Professor Dr Edmond Panaritti and his delegation attended a luncheon organised by Albanian community representatives in Melbourne.
The Foreign Minister was accompanied by His Excellency Mr Armand Skapi, Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Luis Vorfi, Desk Officer, Department of America and Pacific.
