On Wednesday 7 June 2017, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) hosted a school tour for year 10 students from Sirius College.
During the school visit, students and teachers were provided with a presentation that covered the history of Albanian migration to Australia and the Society, as well as the basic tenants of Islam.
On Wednesday 5 July 2017, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) hosted a tour and presentation for Probus Carlton Parkville.
The majority of Probus’ members are local Carlton residents; therefore they are also neighbours of our Society, making their visit all the more special.
Following the ‘Victorian Mosque Open Day’, which the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) actively took part in on Sunday 7 May 2017, Federal MP for Melbourne, Adam Bandt, mentioned the AAIS during his speech in Parliament while reflecting on the wonderful things happening in Melbourne during Ramadan and on the recent Mosque Open Day.
On Thursday 30 March 2017, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) received thirty-five (35) guests from St. Augustine’s School in Frankston.
The teachers we’re formally welcomed by AAIS President, Vahid Goga, who also provided everyone with a brief history about the Albanian migration to Australian, as well as the history of the Society.
