On Friday 9 October 2015, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) held its weekly Information Session at the Youth Centre.
As is consistent with the weekly AAIS information sessions, there was a modest attendance by financial members and their families, who came to learn about the topic for the evening titled: ‘The Importance of Seeking Knowledge’.
Over the last few years, I have endeavored to establish ties between the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) and Albanian Islamic institutions from our ancestral lands that, like our own Society, share a common motivation to instil ideals and values which contribute to the growth and prosperity of our respective Societies and communities through the teachings (according to the Hanifi School of Thought) of Islam.
On Friday 7 August 2015, the Committee Board of the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) invited special guest Ali Abdo, who is a three (3) time Olympic wrestler, to give AAIS members and our youth a perspective on something quite interesting and unique.
On Tuesday 4 August 2015, the Women’s Committee of the Albanian Australian Islamic Society’s (AAIS) held its monthly ‘Ladies Night’ at the Youth Centre’.
A new ‘Cooking Class’ was introduced for financial members on the night with the Society’s very first AAIS ‘Master Chef Class’.
