On Sunday 10th May 2015, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) was invited to attend a ‘Halal Seminar’, which was presented by Muslims Australia, and hosted by the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC). Both Urim Balla and I attended this event on behalf of our Society.
Alhamdulilah, since the official opening of the Albanian Australian Islamic Society’s (AAIS) Youth Centre, financial members and their families continue to regularly visit and participate in a number of AAIS programs, activities and events offered at the new facility.
The bi-annual meeting between the four Albanian Islamic Societies of Victoria was organised and held at the Australian Albanian Prespa Association on Saturday 22nd March 2015.
The Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) has a number of people from different cultural backgrounds attend its Albanian Mosque for prayers.
Over the last decade, the AAIS’s Albanian Mosque has experienced a gradual increase in the number of worshipers attending the five daily prayers. This increase is mainly due to the number of international students, as well as residents, who are of Islamic faith that have moved in and are now living around the suburb of Carlton.
