On Thursday 13 July 2017, the Board Of Imams Victoria (BOIV) and Darebin City Council (DCC) held a training session called ‘Respect’, which was also launched at the Islamic Museum of Australia, for Religious Leaders of the Islamic faith and representatives of the Muslim community of Victoria.
Following the ‘Victorian Mosque Open Day’, which the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) actively took part in on Sunday 7 May 2017, Federal MP for Melbourne, Adam Bandt, mentioned the AAIS during his speech in Parliament while reflecting on the wonderful things happening in Melbourne during Ramadan and on the recent Mosque Open Day.
On Sunday 10th May 2015, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) was invited to attend a ‘Halal Seminar’, which was presented by Muslims Australia, and hosted by the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC). Both Urim Balla and I attended this event on behalf of our Society.
On Saturday 19th November 2011 the Committee Board of the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) attended a function, which was organised by the Islamic Council of Victoria (ICV), to meet the newly elected Grand Mufti of Australia, Ibrahim Abu Mohamed.
