On Saturday 4 October 2008, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) organised a special Dinner Function for financial members and their families to celebrate Fiter Bayram.
Over three hundred people attended the evening at Leila Reception, which created a wonderful atmosphere to celebrate the special occasion.
After formally welcoming everyone, AAIS President, Vahid Goga, provided guests with details on the program prepared for the night.
The highlight of the evening was the brilliant performance by children from the AAIS’s Islamic Classes on the story of Prophet Moses (Peace be upon him). The play incorporated beautifully designed outfits, as well as special sound effects, that kept everyone entertained right throughout the show.
Along with the serving of a flavoursome three course meal, everyone also enjoyed traditional Albanian music and dance throughout the night, while the kids were additionally treated with a ‘Bayram Bag’.
On behalf of the AAIS Executive Committee, I sincerely thank everyone that helped make the Fiter Bayram Dinner Function a special occasion for everyone and we look forward to (Insha-Allah) holding the event again in future.
