During the last weekend of July 2014, the Albanian Australian Islamic Society (AAIS) participated in Open House Melbourne.
Over one hundred buildings across Melbourne participated in the free event designed to celebrate architecture, design and the beautiful city of Melbourne.
Alhamdulillah, over the two day period, a total of three hundred and ten (310) visitors from various cultures visited the AAIS and toured its facilities including the Albanian Mosque.
Some of the visitors were local residents; however many that arrived on the day resided in both the inner and outer suburbs of Melbourne.
Representatives of the AAIS provided visitors with a guided tour of the AAIS’s Albanian Mosque, as well as its surrounding buildings. AAIS representatives also answered questions on the history of Albanians in Australia and the Islamic faith.
Visitors were also able to experience the call to prayer, as well as the midday and afternoon prayers.
The event was a great experience and a rewarding exercise for everyone involved and the AAIS looks forwarding to participating in the next Open House Melbourne.

SHTËPIA E HAPUR E MELBURNIT
Gjatë fundjavës së fundit të Korrikut 2014, Shoqata Islamike Shqiptare Australiane (AAIS) ka marrë pjesë në Shtëpinë e hapur të Melburnit.
Mbi njëqind ndërtesa në të gjithë Melburnin morën pjesë në veprimtari të lira të dizajnuara për të festuar arkitekturën, dizajnin dhe qytetin e bukur të Melburnit.
Elhamdulilah, gjatë periudhës dy ditore, një total prej treqind e dhjetë (310) vizitorëve nga kultura të ndryshme vizituan AAIS-in si dhe objektet e saja duke përfshirë edhe xhaminë shqiptare.
Disa nga vizitorët ishin banorë të lagjes, megjithatë shumica e vizitorëve ishin nga lagjet e brendshme dhe të jashtme të Melburnit.
Përfaqësuesit e AAIS-it iu ofruan vizitorëve një turne me shpjegime rreth xhamisë shqiptare të AAIS-it, si dhe rreth ndërtesave përreth. Përfaqësuesit e AAIS-it gjithashtu iu përgjigjen pyetjeve mbi historinë e shqiptarëve në Australi si dhe rreth besimit Islam.
Vizitorët ishin në gjendje gjithashtu të shohin thirrjen e Ezanit, si dhe faljen e Drekës dhe Ikindisë.
Ky eveniment ishte një përvojë e madhe dhe e dobishme për të gjithë ata që ishin të përfshirë dhe AAIS shpreson të marrë pjesë gjithashtu në Shtëpinë e Hapur të Melburnit në të ardhmen.
